About the Role

ICE Mortgage Technology is automating the residential mortgage industry with integrated solutions that cover the entire loan lifecycle. This role involves working in a dynamic product development team, collaborating with various departments, and contributing to the design and development of services used across product lines. The ideal candidate will have a product mentality, a strong sense of ownership, and a commitment to building high-quality software.

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality data processing infrastructure and scalable services for ingesting and transforming large-scale data.
Translate ideas and concepts into well-designed, quality code.
Articulate design choices, interdependencies, and their impact.
Develop APIs for data-driven products and external consumption.
Collaborate with QA, product management, engineering, and UX for predictable results.
Improve and develop new engineering processes and tools.

Requirements

3+ years of experience building Enterprise Software Products.
Experience in object-oriented design and development with languages such as Java.
Experience building REST-based microservices in a distributed architecture with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
Experience with Java/J2EE frameworks like Spring Boot, Microservice, JPA, JDBC.
Experience building high throughput real-time and batch data processing pipelines using Kafka on AWS.
Experience with a variety of data stores for unstructured and columnar data, as well as traditional database systems (e.g., MySQL, Postgres).
Proven ability to deliver working solutions on time.
Strong analytical thinking for challenging engineering problems.
Experience working in a DevOps environment.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment within a start-up culture.
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, AWS Glue, AWS EMR).
Experience handling large data sets using technologies like HDFS, S3, Avro, and Parquet.
