About the Role
As a motivating store manager, you will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, inspiring your team to achieve sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will serve as a community hub, showcasing the brand and its impact.
Responsibilities
- Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
- Taking ownership of the commercial running of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining shop standards.
- Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
- Maximizing profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
- Building relationships with the local community and colleagues.
- Organizing and running fundraising events to achieve targets.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
- Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
Requirements
- Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
- Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve them.
- Ability to multitask in a lively environment.
- Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
- Commercial awareness.
- Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
- Adaptability in changing situations and ability to work independently.

- Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
