About the Role

As a motivating store manager, you will act as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK, inspiring your team to achieve sales and fundraising targets. Your shop will serve as a community hub, showcasing the brand and its impact.

Responsibilities

  • Guiding, inspiring, and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention, and development.
  • Taking ownership of the commercial running of the store, including display, merchandising, stock management, and maintaining shop standards.
  • Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.
  • Maximizing profit through effective cost control and sales strategies.
  • Building relationships with the local community and colleagues.
  • Organizing and running fundraising events to achieve targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
  • Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.

Requirements

  • Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
  • Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve them.
  • Ability to multitask in a lively environment.
  • Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
  • Adaptability in changing situations and ability to work independently.
  • Awareness of the price, value, and worth of items.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
