About the Role
This role involves physical work, driving multiple routes, delivery, and customer service, focusing on delivering exceptional service and managing accounts for valued clients.
Responsibilities
- Navigate multiple delivery routes across Lower Mainland, ensuring timely and safe deliveries.
- Work different routes/areas and schedules depending on the route that needs to be filled.
- Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance of company delivery vehicle and equipment.
- Load delivery vehicle meticulously, anticipating and addressing product shortfalls.
- Employ safe lifting techniques for secure movement of goods.
- Drive truck safely to designated customer locations, executing deliveries efficiently.
- Deliver and retrieve uniforms, linens, towels, mats, cleaning products, and other rental items.
- Confirm accurate delivery quantities for each customer.
- Collect soiled goods and organize them securely in the vehicle.
- Secure electronic signatures for invoices and collect necessary payments.
- Foster consistent communication with key customer contacts.
- Seek feedback from customers to enhance service levels.
- Consult with customers on additional product options.
- Collaborate weekly with the manager to devise solutions for current customer needs.
- Unload and organize soiled goods upon return to the branch.
- Report any vehicle accidents, mechanical issues, or malfunctions promptly.
- Maintain the vehicle in a tidy manner and reconcile all delivery data accurately.
- Demonstrate and develop competencies aligned with the role.
- Uphold company values of integrity, respect, responsibility, and trust.
Requirements
- Availability to work a flexible work schedule and a route that could vary each week.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Driver’s Abstract required).
- Experience in physically demanding roles with heavy lifting.
- Proven experience in customer service, sales, and delivery services.
- A track record of punctual work attendance.
- Customer-focused and detail-oriented attributes.
- Lifting ability of 25 lbs. to load/unload product from truck without assistance and occasionally 50+ lbs.
- This position requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
