About the Role
iGaming Ontario is seeking students for its Student Program, offering valuable learning opportunities, hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to Ontario’s dynamic iGaming sector. This role supports the Market Strategy and Insights team, specifically focusing on Responsible Gaming and Agency Compliance.
Responsibilities
- Support technical user acceptance testing (UAT) for a data platform modernization project.
- Assist in managing and responding to operator inquiries.
- Contribute to the development of an automated data quality validation system for existing data collection pipelines.
- Support the development of a centralized system for data and information storage within the department.
- Conduct online research for market report generation.
- Support design and development of PowerBI Dashboards.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience coding in SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience building PowerBI dashboards.
- Solid understanding of database concepts and relational data.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Critical thinker possessing sound judgement, a business mindset, and ability to conceptualize, evaluate, and problem-solve.
- Must meet all eligibility criteria by the first day of employment.
- Must be living in the province of Ontario during the term of employment.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Must provide Resume, Cover Letter, Copy of most recent GPA transcript, and Proof of enrollment for the September 2026 and/or 2027 school year.
