About the Role

You will be the driving force behind how Shieldpay scales, designing process frameworks and establishing governance to ensure efficient and safe operations. You will untangle operational complexity and convert data into decision-ready insights.

Responsibilities

• Scope and drive cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery.
• Set delivery standards for cross-functional work, including scoping templates, RAID logs, and timelines.
• Act as delivery lead on initiatives.
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards and board reporting packs.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems feeding reports.
• Convert raw operational and commercial data into decision-ready insights.
• Set and enforce reporting cadences and data-quality standards across functions.
• Set the agenda for core governance meetings, determining what requires a decision and who needs to be involved.
• Chair and minute core internal governance meetings, owning the action tracker and chasing closure.
• Ensure appropriate stakeholders are present before decisions are finalized.
• Challenge items presented without adequate preparation or data.
• Maintain a decision log detailing what was decided, by whom, when, and the rationale.

Requirements

• Experience in BizOps, PMO, Chief of Staff, or Operations roles, ideally within a scale-up or regulated fintech environment.
• Proven track record of designing process and governance frameworks from scratch.
• Ability to chair senior meetings, challenge Directors and Heads of departments, and drive accountability.
• Comfortable with dashboard and reporting tools, including BI tools and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Practical skills in mapping out SOPs, swimlanes, and RACI matrices.
• Sharp analytical skills with the ability to build dashboards and critically interrogate data integrity.
• Highly organized approach to delivery, including scoping, managing RAID logs, and tracking progress.
• High attention to detail balanced with business sense to know when 'good enough' is the right call.
