About the Role
We are looking for an Engineer III to join our team and contribute to building a product that customers use every day. You will solve interesting challenges across the company, from customer-facing products to underlying infrastructure, security, payments, and finance.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the in-house banking platform.
- Collaborate across disciplines to solve interesting challenges.
- Contribute to areas including customer products, infrastructure, security, payments, finance, customer operations, financial crime, and data.
- Write application code using Go.
- Manage persistent data storage using Cassandra.
- Utilize Kafka for asynchronous message queuing.
- Schedule and run services using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement RPC using Envoy Proxy.
- Manage production infrastructure on AWS and data infrastructure on GCP.
- Develop public web apps and internal tools using React.
- Connect to various third parties via physical datacenters.
Requirements
- Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
- A product mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and data-informed decisions.
- Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
- Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
- Some experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala etc.).
- Ability to work in a way that suits you and your team, allowing for personal commitments.
- Willingness to relocate to the UK.
- Ability to attend ad hoc meetings in London if based remotely.
