About the Role

CFG Merchant Solutions, LLC (CFGMS) is seeking talent for its Underwriter Academy to learn underwriting or join funding teams. Underwriters assess risks, price deals, and manage portfolios in the Revenue-Based Finance industry. This role requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and informed decision-making. CFGMS offers training, mentorship, and unlimited success potential for entrepreneurial individuals.

Responsibilities

Commit to internal training program and learn the Revenue-Based Finance industry.
Assess and evaluate risks associated with insuring merchants and small businesses and price deals accordingly.
Manage and maintain a portfolio of clients and conduct Merchant interviews.
Collaborate with Underwriting teams and Sales Reps.
Implement guidelines to ensure a balanced ratio of favorable risks and minimize claim costs.
Analyze and gather data from 3rd parties and make informed decisions based on risk analysis (e.g., prospective merchant applications, credit reports, business bank & credit card statements, business financials, P&L, Balance Sheets, Tax Returns, and other related financial and publicly available due diligence information).
Maintain the financial stability and profitability of portfolio through effective risk management.

Requirements

1+ years of experience working for a financial firm or in the Revenue-Based Financing industry.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate analysis results to clients and colleagues.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Willingness to undergo training and mentorship provided by CFGMS.
