About the Role

Harbourview Hospital is seeking a full-time physiatrist to join their collaborative team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to support physicians and care at nearby Cape Breton Regional Hospital and may also participate in teaching through the family medicine residency program or with medical students.

Responsibilities

  • Work a full scope of practice as a physiatrist
  • Provide inpatient care
  • Consult and refer to other medical professionals
  • Act as a patient advocate

Requirements

  • Must have membership with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
  • Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
