About the Role

This position requires working 8 hours each day Monday through Friday, which may be in addition to unplanned overtime. The actual start time will be determined by the employee and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and processes all assigned organizational, sales and customer requests and data entry, escalating complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Rep.
  • Enters customer orders into the mainframe via phone or fax, transfers EDI orders, and makes timely and accurate order changes as directed by customers and sales.
  • Provides delivery instructions to Truck Routing and Centralized Transportation areas and updates master customer card information.
  • Ensures timely communication and follow-through with customers, sales, centralized transportation, and deployment personnel daily.
  • Performs resale orders for product movement due to overages/refusals based on OS&D.
  • Schedules delivery appointments by phone, email, or customer websites.
  • Edits orders to ensure accuracy in price brackets, price lists, and contract applications, seeking sales input for price verification if discrepancies are found.
  • Works with internal and external customers to resolve issues, coordinating and troubleshooting with multiple areas, and escalating to the lead if unable to resolve.

Requirements

  • Customer Service experience.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
  • Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute detailed work independently and accurately.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
