About the Role

CODE is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the module SE_02, Introduction to Algorithms and Data Structures, to support students in their learning experience by fostering a positive environment, answering questions, and providing feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Helping to create a fun, rigorous environment for students to learn.
  • Answering student questions and supporting them to progress in their learning journey through office hours, Slack, Google Classroom, and during LUs.
  • Ensuring that essential course feedback reaches faculty.
  • Running practice sessions for students, and helping with content & challenges they are struggling with.
  • Reviewing student hand-ins and giving them feedback throughout the semester.

Requirements

  • Being currently matriculated at a German university.
  • Having a registered address in Germany and a German tax number.
  • Having the right to work in Germany.
  • Having a German bank account.

Skills

  • Desire to help fellow students.
  • Some understanding and practical experience with Python.
  • Passed the module Algorithms and Data Structures or similar.
  • Experience teaching or tutoring is a plus.
  • Experience with other programming languages plus.
