About the Role
FICUS Health is seeking an individual to lead the Dutch market-entry phase for their AI-powered rehabilitation care software. This role involves validating the market, establishing key stakeholder relationships, and securing initial partnerships, with the potential to grow into full operational and P&L responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Validate market-entry assumptions and determine scaling strategies for the Netherlands.
- Analyze the Dutch market, competitive landscape, funding, reimbursement, and procurement processes.
- Build relationships with rehabilitation centers, hospitals, healthcare groups, professional associations, and health insurers.
- Lead commercial conversations, negotiate, and close initial pilot partnerships.
- Secure lighthouse partnerships and develop a repeatable commercial approach.
- Navigate regulatory, data-protection, procurement, and reimbursement requirements in the Netherlands.
- Ensure market entry is compliant, clinically relevant, and commercially viable.
- Contribute Dutch market insights to product development and adaptation.
- Identify which product features require local adaptation and which processes FICUS should address.
- Build the Dutch market hands-on initially, with support from founding and German teams.
- Build the local team and assume operational and financial responsibility, including team leadership, operations, and P&L, once the market is validated.
Requirements
- At least ten years of relevant experience in the Dutch healthcare or rehabilitation market (e.g., healthcare provider leadership, rehabilitation center/hospital group leadership, healthcare consulting, market access, or digital-health commercial leadership).
- Strong understanding of the Dutch healthcare system, including provider decision-making, health insurers, reimbursement structures, and procurement processes.
- Relevant experience in rehabilitation, hospital care, or an adjacent provider market.
- Established and relevant network with credibility to open doors across key Dutch healthcare stakeholders.
- Track record of building new markets, business units, commercial operations, or partnership structures.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and create a playbook.
- Combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Willingness and credibility to lead conversations, negotiate agreements, and build partnerships personally.
- Fluent Dutch and professional English language skills; German is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands and to Berlin.
