About the Role

This role is responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating terms, managing purchase orders, and supporting cost-reduction initiatives within the procurement process for network equipment, IT systems, software, and engineering services.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for network equipment, IT systems, software, and engineering services.
  • Collect and compare quotations, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
  • Build tender analysis reports for Executive review.
  • Conduct basic supplier assessments (quality, delivery performance, compliance).
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and service conditions with suppliers.
  • Support cost-reduction initiatives through competitive bidding and market research.
  • Maintain negotiation records and provide analysis to Executive team.
  • Create and manage purchase orders in ERP systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of order details, delivery dates, and contract terms.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, delays, or quality issues.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations and finance teams to clarify requirements and ensure smooth procurement processes.
  • Track delivery schedules and communicate status updates to project teams.
  • Maintain procurement data, supplier information, and price lists.
  • Prepare reports on cost trends, supplier performance, and purchasing activities.
  • Support audits and compliance checks.
  • Assist in improving procurement workflows and documentation.
  • Contribute to standardization of purchasing procedures and tools.

Requirements

  • 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in telecommunications, IT, or related technical industries.
  • Hands-on experience in vendor selection, price negotiation, and delivery coordination.
  • Basic understanding of network equipment, Data center related equipment, or technical services.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel (quotations, cost comparison, data analysis).
  • Ability to read and understand contracts and technical specifications.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Experience working with telecom carriers, network equipment vendors, or system integrators.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes for network infrastructure (wireless, optical, IP).
  • Strong understanding in Data center operations and colocation service.
  • Strong market knowledge and relationships.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures or logistics.
  • Experience supporting RFP/RFQ processes.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with high accuracy in documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Flexibility to match custom deployments and projects.
  • Proactive problem-solving and follow-through.
  • Collaborative mindset and willingness to support team objectives.
