About the Role
You will support our global sales organization in expanding our market-leading position in medium-voltage drive systems, motors, and generators into new industries and application areas. You will advise our sales teams with portfolio-specific value propositions and consult our customers at an expert level.
Responsibilities
- Support global sales organization in expanding market-leading position in medium-voltage drive systems, motors, and generators into new industries and application areas.
- Support sales teams with portfolio-specific value propositions and consult customers at an expert level.
- Utilize a thorough understanding of electrical grid principles and electrical drive technology to guide the development of creative, customer-oriented offerings and value packages.
- Advise regional sales units and customers on technology, trends, and applications in grid-connected medium-voltage drive systems globally.
- Develop standardized, scalable function packages serving as blueprints for specific applications.
- Conduct technical studies or simulations to prove or verify the effectiveness of a business proposal, leveraging a deep understanding of grid stability and grid connection concepts.
- Work with concepts behind grid connection guidelines (Grid Codes), contributing to the development of relevant models for applications and managing their implementation.
- Identify and capture market trends and derive corresponding measures for sales, marketing, and portfolio.
Requirements
- Completed Master's or university degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Several years (min. 5 years) of professional experience in electrical drive technology, power electronics applications, and grid applications.
- Practical experience in specific grid stability applications such as STATCOM, phase shifters (synchronous condensers), grid connections, or shore power supply.
- References for jointly developing innovative solutions with customers.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
- Experience with PSS/E or PSCAD is highly desirable.
- Experience with Simulink/Matlab is highly desirable.
- Experience in a HIL environment is desirable.
