About the Role

Serve as a team lead on a wide range of infrastructure and military housing debt and equity transactions, including new debt originations, acquisition of legacy loans, structured solutions, restructurings, and recapitalization.

Responsibilities

  • Independently cultivate and maintain relationships with capital sources, counterparties, and sponsors to source new transactions, capital sources, and secondary market opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to identify new opportunities and support the development of products and credit standards.
  • Develop materials for internal and client understanding of transactions, market conditions, and opportunities, as well as new prospect marketing materials.
  • Develop, negotiate, and execute investment transactions, including underwriting, due diligence, deal structuring, and negotiation of term sheets and finance terms.
  • Develop and present written analyses, modeling, documentation, and presentation materials to support investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers to ensure prompt and accurate transaction surveillance throughout the lifecycle of an originated product.
  • Identify, plan, and execute transaction exits, including sale, refinancing, restructuring, and liquidation of specified securities to realize returns and mitigate risk.
  • Review and respond to requests related to settlement and other issue resolutions.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Guggenheim Investments investment strategies and clients, including investment guidelines, regulatory capital considerations, regulators, and Guggenheim’s internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of related experience in real estate investment management.
  • 3+ years of real estate fundraising experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Municipal sector, market operations, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Highest ethical values in professional and personal conduct.
  • Proficiency in Bloomberg, Aladdin, Python, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, capable of prioritizing and managing diverse workloads under tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in driving standardization and optimization of processes and deliverables.
  • Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment, steering strategic projects that support growth and competitive positioning.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing business processes in the real estate investments funds space.
  • Strong and strategic relationship management skills and experience overseeing client relationships from an operating perspective.
  • Problem solver with a positive attitude, curious about process improvement.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without current or future visa sponsorship or transfer.
