About the Role

The Financial Analyst II is responsible for executing the Director of P&A’s vision regarding the group’s structure, quality/quantity of work, and team members’ training and development, while providing financial analysis assistance throughout Genting Americas properties and departments. This is a Shared Services position supporting multiple Resorts World properties and requires appropriate licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Compile and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accurate financial information.
  • Identify and present findings on trends and developments in competitive environments.
  • Perform financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts.
  • Provide analytical and systems support to assess and monitor property performance.
  • Produce and utilize reports and programs to complete assigned duties.
  • Maintain all necessary electronic and paper files.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Provide analysis for company-wide programs and assist with the budget process.
  • Track and record daily Gaming, Food & Beverage, Retail, and Hotel statistics for analysis.
  • Prepare financial schedules for management presentation at monthly review meetings.
  • Analyze promotional programs to determine effectiveness based on revenue generated versus cost.
  • Prepare reports summarizing and forecasting company business activity and financial position.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Study and analyze processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Promote positive public and team member relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to obtain the appropriate license.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR Five (5) years of related work and/or educational experience.
  • Two (2) years of related work or educational experience conducting detailed statistical or data analysis.
  • Experience (1+ years) preparing budgets and monthly financial reports.
  • Experience (1+ year) with financial statement analysis methodologies.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methods, with the ability to build models using retrieved data.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests.
  • Fluency in English required; second language is a plus.
  • Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and inference.
  • Ability to create, read, and analyze spreadsheets of statistical data.
  • Ability to decipher various reports and maintain reports upon request.
  • Must be able to interact with internal and external guests in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
