About the Role

The Global Cross Border team is responsible for defining and executing the cross border business strategy across travel and eCommerce. This role focuses on driving growth and development of the cross border travel business through initiatives targeting issuers, merchants, and end-consumers, aiming to make Visa synonymous with Travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deepen partnerships with merchants, travel co-brand partners, tourism boards, and digital players.
  • Enhance high-value travel offers and experiences to strengthen the Visa Destinations value proposition.
  • Develop bespoke offerings for key issuers to drive Visa's association with Travel.
  • Embed Travel into the organization's operations through collaboration with Marketing Services and Sponsorship teams.
  • Translate data and insights into actionable growth strategies.
  • Support the activation of Cross Border marketing into external brands and assets through collaboration with Global Marketing.
  • Collaborate with regional, market, and product teams to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Drive near-term commercial impact and foster long-term sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience.
  • Proven experience in a strategic role within a global organization, focusing on cross border initiatives and/or consumer strategy.
  • Strong understanding of international markets, customer segmentation, and value proposition development, including business case development and go-to-market planning.
  • Leadership and project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to drive change and implement new strategies.
  • Proficiency in project management and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in consumer financial services and payments.
  • Demonstrated success in driving global growth initiatives.
