About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain nurture segmentation, workflows, and automations.
  • Keep lists clean, contacts healthy, and documentation sound.
  • Design and set up emails (one-off and automated) using self-created HTML templates.
  • Collaborate with marketing, account management, and enablement/service specialists on scalable lifecycle campaign strategy.
  • Write, build, deploy, and refine lifecycle email programs with ownership and reader experience in mind.
  • Manage the operational aspects of one-off customer email communications for essential product or legal updates, coordinating sequencing and distribution.
  • Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for each program, including open rates, click-to-open rates, conversion to MQL, stage progression, and unsubscribe rates.
  • Implement A/B testing as standard practice for subject lines, content, send cadence, and calls-to-action (CTAs).
  • Translate data into clear, contextual recommendations and advocate for changes based on findings.
  • Audit HubSpot, document list hygiene issues, and initiate a remediation plan within the first 90 days.
  • Launch or rebuild at least one nurture program with a clear measurement framework within the first 90 days.
  • Own a functioning lifecycle program across at least two journey stages (e.g., Subscriber → MQL, onboarding) within 6 months.
  • Ensure A/B testing is standard practice and demonstrate changes made based on test results within 6 months.
  • Monitor and maintain deliverability health metrics (bounce rate, spam complaint rate, sender reputation) within acceptable thresholds within 6 months.
  • Achieve measurable quarter-on-quarter improvements in email-influenced MQL volume and stage-progression rates within 12 months.
  • Ensure lifecycle programs are documented, scalable, and understood by cross-functional stakeholders within 12 months.
  • Act as a trusted partner to sales, account management, and product teams, proactively communicating CRM changes and their implications within 12 months.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building programs from scratch in a CRM, lifecycle, or retention marketing role within B2B SaaS.
  • Strong copywriting skills with a portfolio of high-performing email work.
  • Working knowledge of email deliverability, including authentication, sender reputation, and list hygiene.
  • Conscientious approach to building, noting limitations, watch-outs, and recent changes impacting flow design logic.
  • Awareness of the impact of CRM work on cross-functional colleagues and a desire to help them understand changes.
  • Calm, proactive communication style with stakeholders at all levels and departments.
  • Interest in the campaigns, assets, and messaging being developed by the team.
