About the Role

Lead comprehensive due diligence assessments to protect Marqeta, its customers, and issuing bank partners, ensuring a smooth experience for partners. This role involves partnering with subject matter experts and guiding customers through the due diligence process to program launch.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program due diligence reviews from kickoff to post-launch.
  • Drive assessments overseeing regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational risks with independence.
  • Manage relationships and projects with cross-functional partners and external global enterprise companies and banks.
  • Host walkthrough calls and presentations on due diligence workstreams.
  • Serve as a primary cross-functional partner for internal SMEs across Legal, Risk, Compliance, InfoSec, Finance, Financial Crimes, and Privacy.
  • Own and evolve risk assessment frameworks, dashboards, and reporting tools.
  • Coordinate with LRC and GTM teams to ensure program compliance with bank-specific requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve PDD processes and contribute to the evolution of Marqeta's Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of experience in due diligence, third-party risk management, compliance, project/program management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple multi-stakeholder reviews/projects from kickoff to delivery.
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experienced communicator who can engage credibly with cross-functional teams, partner banks, and external program stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks applicable to card issuing, payments, or program management.
  • Comfortable working in, improving, and adopting common collaboration and productivity tools and risk management tools (e.g., Salesforce, Slack, Google Workspace, dashboards, reporting platforms).
  • A hands-on approach, concise and straightforward style.
  • A love for collaboration, teamwork, and delivering excellence.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
