About the Role

Develop and implement a comprehensive year-round educational program that meets the varying educational needs of members, providing enriching and evidence-based learning opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Compile resources, information, and data to address current and future trends impacting youth educational needs.
  • Conduct BGCA POWER Hour program for homework assistance and educational support.
  • Collect report cards, track required data, and analyze report card data to develop solutions.
  • Develop and implement opportunities for members needing additional academic support or challenge.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with school officials and communicate about Club members.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with community organizations and resources to support the Education program.
  • Visit and provide support for Club members to assist them in achieving academic goals during school sessions.
  • Plan and conduct events promoting academic enrichment and recognition.
  • Develop opportunities to involve Club parents/guardians in the Education program and their children's educational needs.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers for the Education program.
  • Create and implement an 8-week summer educational program.
  • Operate all programs within established policies, procedures, and operational hours.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, conduct, and supervise educational programs and services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds (ages 6-18) and organizational personnel.
  • Must be highly motivated and dedicated to the organizational mission.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • A four-year degree from a state-accredited university or college is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a related field is preferred.
