About the Role

We Are Era is seeking a finance professional to coordinate and support month-end, quarterly, and annual closing activities. This role involves reviewing accounting records, preparing financial statements, and collaborating with auditors and internal stakeholders. The position also focuses on driving continuous improvement in finance processes, supporting finance transformation, and optimizing workflows using SAP S/4HANA and AI tools.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities in close collaboration with the RTL Shared Service Center.
Review accounting records, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and annual audits across multiple legal entities.
Act as a key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders on accounting and financial process topics.
Drive continuous improvement of finance and accounting processes, ensuring efficient and scalable workflows.
Support the implementation and optimization of internal controls and governance standards.
Monitor and analyse financial data, identifying risks, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.
Collaborate closely with Controlling, HR, Legal, and operational teams on finance-related matters.
Support finance transformation initiatives and contribute to process automation projects.
Work with SAP S/4HANA and other finance systems to improve data quality, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Requirements

3–7 years of professional experience in accounting, audit, finance operations, or financial process management.
Experience supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.
Experience working with auditors and preparing audit documentation.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Skills

Good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
Strong analytical skills.
Structured, detail-oriented working style.
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
Practical experience using AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, or finance processes.
