About the Role
As part of the IT Support team, you will be the first point of contact for colleagues regarding hardware, software, and applications. You will assist with issues that slow down the daily work of others, providing quick, friendly, and solution-oriented support. A key aspect of this role is to capture and document knowledge, including processes, recurring problems, and solutions, transforming informal practices into clear, understandable descriptions.
Responsibilities
- Receive and analyze IT incidents via phone or in writing, find solutions, or escalate them after thorough qualification.
- Document each case systematically in our ticketing system.
- Maintain and service our workplace systems (macOS & Windows) and provide support when issues arise.
- Install, configure, and update software.
- Support new colleagues during onboarding to ensure they are technically ready from day one.
- Assist in developing and expanding our internal knowledge base and checklists for recurring issues.
- Support the transition to a new ticketing system (Jira), focusing on migrating data and redefining processes.
- Document processes and workflows clearly so that new colleagues can understand them without further questions.
Requirements
- Studying Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable technical degree with a genuine interest in IT.
- Basic knowledge of macOS and Windows. Linux knowledge is a plus.
- Structured, reliable work approach with the ability to manage multiple open topics.
- Clear communication skills and enjoyment in explaining things understandably, both written and verbally.
- Willingness to be present on-site in Berlin regularly and reliably.
- Secure communication in German and basic English skills for technical documentation and tools.
- Initial experience with ticketing systems or IT support.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365.
- Interest in SAP administration or connected systems like xSuite.
