About the Role

The Financial Accounting Team Leader will manage end-to-end financial accounting for Flight Centre Travel Group’s UK Flight Centre Brand. This includes managing the General Ledger Close Process, monthly reporting, and supporting EOFY and Half-Year audits, with a strong focus on regulatory and compliance reporting. The role involves accounting for all divisions across the FCB business, covering cash, debtors, creditors, revenue recognition, wages, expenses, and management fees. The position requires strong financial control, diligence, proactive problem-solving, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting for Flight Centre Travel Group’s UK Flight Centre Brand.
  • Manage the General Ledger Close Process.
  • Handle monthly reporting.
  • Support EOFY and Half-Year audits.
  • Focus on regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Account for all divisions across the FCB business.
  • Manage cash, debtors, creditors, revenue recognition, wages, expenses, and management fees.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Audit Role.
  • Experience in process controls for new systems.
  • Experience leading a finance team.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Advanced time management and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced experience using MS suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Power BI) in a commercial environment.
