About the Role

Oversee the creation of a distinctive, best-in-class video and audio content offering, bringing together creative leadership, strategic direction, and operational excellence to deliver impactful output at scale. This role will be pivotal in shaping a bold, creatively led, culturally resonant vision and will play a critical role in unlocking value, ensuring content supports key priorities while strengthening the club's brand, relevance, and emotional connection with global audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Own video strategy, defining and leading it across the full range of content output.
  • Translate wider content strategy into clear video priorities using audience insight, data, and platform behavior.
  • Lead a dedicated team to produce world-class content that defines the club's brand, strengthens emotional connections with supporters, and advances strategic ambitions.
  • Operate as a senior leader in the Content & Media department's senior management team to shape and elevate content range and standards.
  • Build and champion a culture of creative excellence, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Empower the team to deliver exceptional work and realize their full potential.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, managing relationships and prioritizing requests.
  • Align requests with business objectives and departmental capacity.
  • Manage an integrated planning and resource model.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Allocate resources effectively across the team.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience within a sports, entertainment, or media-focused environment.
  • History of working as a leader within a sport-adjacent organization, entertainment brand, or culturally relevant digital media environment.
  • Track record of delivering market-leading, innovative video and audio output across large-scale productions, live programming, branded content, and coverage of major events.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and develop a talented team, delivering results as a collective.
  • Ability to lead and empower individuals to succeed and develop.
  • Exceptional creative judgment with a proven ability to set the direction for storytelling and define best-in-class content.
  • Ability to develop unique, distinctive, engaging, and culturally relevant ideas.
  • Leverage audience data, editorial insight, and platform performance to shape content decisions.
  • Use performance insight to improve content formats and challenge assumptions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, managing senior stakeholders, competing priorities, and resource decisions in a fast-moving organization.
  • Clear, calm, and transparent communication style.
  • Ability to build and maintain impactful relationships with a diverse range of colleagues and external stakeholders.
  • Tailor communication approach as and when required.
  • Exceptional planning, resource management, workflow, and prioritization skills.
  • Well-versed in working with a range of production hardware, systems, emerging technology, and AI.
  • High level of cultural awareness, with an understanding of the club's brand and role beyond the pitch.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check and other essential background checks.
