About the Role
Plan and manage the restaurant, room service, and pool operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and financial goals. This role focuses on short-term planning and daily operations, with potential involvement in lounge and coffeehouse services. It also involves recommending promotional ideas and managing budgets.
Responsibilities
- Manage associates in various outlets to attract, retain, and motivate employees, including hiring, scheduling, training, development, coaching, counseling, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
- Implement company programs and manage restaurant, room service, and other food and beverage outlet operations to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and government mandates.
- Forecast, implement, monitor, control, and report on outlet budgets, including labor, food, and beverage costs, to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
- Oversee and manage payroll processes, including timekeeping, adjustments, and tip administration.
- Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, and comments to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales.
- Monitor and control the maintenance and sanitation of outlet areas and equipment.
- Manage music talent relations and booking as required.
- Be available to work all shifts, including breakfast, brunch, pool hours, and dinner.
- Perform all other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
Requirements
- Requires thorough knowledge of restaurant/hotel practices and procedures for analytical work.
- May require knowledge of policies and procedures and the ability to determine courses of action based on guidelines.
- Requires supervision/management communication skills.
- Requires the ability to investigate and analyze current activities or information and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
- Ability to make decisions generally guided by established policy and procedures.
- Excellent comprehension for assisting with guest and associate matters and interpreting instructions from superiors.
- Excellent vision for seating guests, expediting food, cleaning equipment, reading floor plans, charts, and schedules.
- Must have excellent verbal communication for interacting with guests and associates, issuing instructions, and communicating policies.
- Excellent comprehension required to read and implement policies and procedures; writing schedules and reading forecasts and SOPs.
- Must have knowledge of chemicals/agents for training purposes.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry tables, chairs, trays, plates, and chafing dishes daily, weighing 20-40 lbs.
- Ability to bend to pick up dropped items or assist in serving food.
- Requires 95% of shift covering all areas of outlets supervising.
- Requires continuous standing to assist at hostess station with minimal stationary standing.
- Ability to climb stairs as required by location.
