About the Role

Join the Cleveland Clinic team where you will work alongside passionate caregivers and provide patient-first healthcare. The Endoscopy department offers a range of procedures for various gastrointestinal disorders, and this role involves collaborating with a highly experienced team to achieve excellent medical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
  • Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
  • Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
  • Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • One year of patient care experience
  • Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good eye-hand coordination.
  • Involves extensive standing and walking.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.
