About the Role

The Commentary Coordinator is responsible for ensuring live commentary requirements are met during linear and digital live broadcasts and productions, acting as a communication bridge between 21 regions across Europe. This role also involves Audio Quality Control and collaboration with Audio teams to support correct delivery.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with commentators and planners.
• Coordinate and oversee commentary plans for large-scale WBD sporting events across 20 regions.
• Perform Quality Control checks and monitor live commentary delivery.
• Escalate and help resolve technical issues during line-up by engaging with appropriate technical departments.
• Execute correct procedure for live broadcasts in cooperation with Live Team, Ingest MCR Operators, Live TX Operators, and Engineering.
• Liaise with MCR Operators, Live Technical Operators, Engineering, and Production during live broadcasts/commentated events.
• Update resource scheduling systems as required.
• Report issues for follow-up and provide external reports for events.
• Maintain a high level of reliability on live broadcasts and productions.
• Continuously keep skills up to date with business needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a live broadcast environment, preferably with some production experience.
• Good IT skills and experience of scheduling systems.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different business requirements.
• Excellent decision-making skills.
• An interest in sports is beneficial.
