About the Role

NESO is transforming Great Britain's energy system towards a cleaner, more sustainable future. The SEP Senior Engagement Coordinator will drive complex engagement activity, coordinate across teams, provide subject matter guidance, and shape engagement frameworks to support strategic energy plans.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive engagement plans, stakeholder maps, and delivery schedules for defined programme areas.
  • Provide subject matter guidance to colleagues on engagement practices and channel usage.
  • Influence senior internal stakeholders to adopt consistent engagement sequencing, messaging, and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure consistent use of Salesforce and other engagement data for activity recording, insight identification, and action tracking.
  • Identify wider engagement risks, dependencies, or improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Produce regular insight-led reports on engagement activity, highlighting strategic risks, stakeholder themes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Recommend improvements, provide evidence and insight to inform decisions, and lead delivery within the defined remit.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in the energy industry.
  • Experience of delivering complex engagement activity in a dynamic external stakeholder environment.
  • Experience of building, managing, and influencing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior colleagues.
  • Ability to connect complex and fast-changing engagement activity, make trade-off decisions, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and prioritisation skills, with the ability to self-manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional or virtual teams.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Confidence to guide colleagues on engagement good practice and support consistent decision-making.
  • Experience of producing timely and accurate reports that identify insight, risks, actions, and opportunities.
  • Ability to be flexible in line with changing priorities while maintaining strategic focus, proportionality, and quality.
  • Experience of supporting, mentoring, or line managing colleagues.
