About the Role
This position is responsible for maintaining HVAC, plumbing, and sprinkler operations for the Lincoln Center campus, which includes various multi-use buildings, performance spaces, public areas, and the Central Mechanical Plant. Lincoln Center operates 24x7.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining various aspects of the HVAC, plumbing and sprinkler operations for the Lincoln Center 16-acre campus.
- Working with pneumatic, electric, electronic and direct digital controls.
- Working with electric and steam centrifugal chillers.
- Working with steam and condensate systems.
- Working with refrigeration equipment.
- Working with domestic hot water heating systems.
- Performing plumbing and electrical work.
- Working with hydronic pumping systems.
- Working with fire alarm, sprinkler systems and standpipes.
- Performing soldering/brazing.
- Performing hands-on mechanical work including motor replacements.
- Climbing ladders to conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- A current refrigeration license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of practical, hands-on work experience (not including time as an apprentice) maintaining and/or working with specified systems.
- Employees are required to join the Local 30 union within 30 days of employment, if they are not already members.
