About the Role

The Financial Accounting Team Leader will manage end-to-end financial accounting for Flight Centre UK, overseeing the General Ledger Close Process, monthly reporting, and supporting audits. This role focuses on regulatory and compliance reporting, accounting for all UK divisions, and requires strong financial control, diligence, proactive problem-solving, and a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end financial accounting for Flight Centre UK.
  • Oversee General Ledger Close Process management.
  • Manage monthly reporting.
  • Support EOFY and Half-Year audits.
  • Focus on regulatory and compliance reporting.
  • Account for all divisions across the Flight Centre UK business.
  • Manage accounting for cash, debtors, creditors, revenue recognition, wages, expenses, and management fees.
  • Ensure strong financial control and diligence.
  • Engage in proactive problem-solving.
  • Maintain a customer-centric approach.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in an Audit Role.
  • Experience in process controls for new systems.
  • Experience leading a finance team.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Advanced time management and prioritization skills.
  • Advanced experience using MS suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Power Bi) in a commercial environment.
