About the Role
The Document Controller will manage information across large residential development schemes, establishing and maintaining robust document control systems, ensuring compliance, and supporting efficient communication between internal teams and external stakeholders. This role involves multi-site coverage with regular travel to sites in Battersea, Vauxhall, Brixton, and Blackheath, and occasional travel to the head office in Uxbridge.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain EDMS’ and arrange the sharing of site information using EDMs’.
- Ensure that information is up-to-date and reaching the right project personnel, informing and supporting them throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage systems, support users, and provide quality control for information being shared.
- Perform initial setup and provide continuous system support, including adding users and organizations.
- Lead and manage contractors in their ability to access information, providing user access and any available guides, mini videos, or training materials.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (consultants and sub-contractors) for training, problem-solving, and queries/issues, acting as the point of contact for build information.
- Perform occasional ad-hoc reporting and administration using EDMs, Excel, and other software solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in document control within construction, ideally large-scale residential development and high-rise residential schemes.
- Ability to manage documentation across multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Ability to interact, support, and maintain relationships with various personnel, users, and contacts internally and externally.
- Ability to communicate document control terminology.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and an organised approach to daily routines such as quality checking uploads, following up on IFCs and RFIs.
- Excellent IT skills and experience using Excel and SharePoint.
- Ability to learn new systems and new technologies.
