About the Role

Join PlayStation, a global leader in entertainment, as we seek to transform our technical and business documentation processes. This role involves managing and leading significant process changes, particularly in AI-driven translation and localization, impacting the experience of external developers and publishers.

Responsibilities

• Manage the drastic process transition and establish a new system using AI for translation work.
• Manage the translation team primarily focusing on English to Japanese localization.
• Manage team progress and task assignments, and perform translation or checking tasks as needed.
• Manage external translation vendors and internal reviews, and negotiate with original content creators (English native speakers).
• Create Japanese text that may deviate from or expand upon the original translation source, depending on the content.
• Handle technical and business content for external developers and publishers creating and releasing games on the PS platform (not game title localization).
• Improve the quality and usability of documentation in addition to content creation tasks.

Requirements

• Experience in change management, such as drastically transforming existing operations through tool implementation or automation.
• Experience with AI-powered translation, including exploring associated improvements and technical solutions beyond simple AI translation.
• Experience in writing that pursues Japanese language accuracy, not limited to translation.
• Experience in team management.
• Experience in team task management, process management, and project management.
• Experience and knowledge of the game industry (development/publishing, etc.).
• English proficiency (TOEIC 800 or higher recommended).
• Native Japanese speaker.
