About the Role
This position is responsible for understanding the entire process from order receipt to product delivery for our customers (e.g., e-commerce, drugstores, mass retailers, supermarkets), analyzing data for supply chain improvement, and leading collaborative demand and inventory planning with customers. You will lead the entire process from demand forecasting to ordering, inventory planning, and product supply for major customers. By leveraging analyzed data, you will work closely with sales, supply chain departments, and customers to achieve stable supply and sales growth. In addition to daily operations management, you will lead AI-driven demand and inventory optimization and out-of-stock improvement activities, engaging in decision-making that directly impacts business results. You will also enhance your ability to view the entire supply chain by collaborating with P&G's sales, supply chain, and customer departments. This is a position full of influence and growth opportunities, driving customer value creation and business growth in collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage operations from order receipt to delivery, ensuring stable product supply.
- Improve operational processes based on market conditions and customer needs, leading to higher service quality and team execution.
- Analyze sales, shipment trends, in-store inventory, service levels, stock status, and ordering patterns to provide actionable insights to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support decision-making for regular sales, promotions, new product launches, and various initiatives with data, contributing to inventory and ordering plan optimization.
- Achieve optimal inventory levels and service levels for customers through AI-driven demand and inventory planning, proposing optimal order quantities.
- Lead demand forecasting and supply planning for promotions and new product introductions in collaboration with sales and supply chain departments.
- Collaborate with customers and internal supply chain departments to reduce in-store stockouts and improve inventory status.
- Identify issues based on sales performance and inventory data, and contribute to better store environments and stable supply through regular reviews with customers.
- Develop and execute skill and capability improvement plans for multiple professional employees within the same team, working collaboratively rather than as a direct supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in supply chain, demand-supply management, logistics planning, logistics management, inventory management, or demand forecasting.
- Native level Japanese proficiency or JLPT N1 certification.
- Ability to communicate smoothly in English (目安: TOEIC 700 points or higher).
