About the Role
The Pen Test Coordinator is responsible for ensuring efficient penetration test execution, monitoring remediation, and reporting on testing status and findings to senior management. This role is vital for managing and delivering the CLS pen test program, working closely with the Director of Pen Testing to execute current requirements and develop future capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day relationships with Pen Test Vendors, acting as the primary interface.
- Ensure vendor pen test rig images are obtained and updated.
- Coordinate and execute Penetration Testing engagements, facilitating meetings and acting as the main point of contact during testing.
- Ensure access requirements for testing are authorized, actioned, and removed.
- Onboard and offboard external pen testers to CLS.
- Resolve or escalate blocking issues.
- Document pen test findings and observations.
- Track the remediation progress of findings and obtain evidence for closure.
- Assemble data on SLA breaches and present to the escalation forum.
- Follow up on escalation actions to ensure remediation stays on track.
- Produce accurate and timely metrics on penetration testing for governance, regulatory, and audit inquiries.
- Participate in market research for new vendors and pen testing capabilities.
- Produce and maintain run books.
- Enhance pen testing infrastructure, standards, and procedures.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in IT security.
- 1-2 years coordinating security assessments or vulnerability remediation.
- Experience producing metrics and reports on vulnerability management.
- Strong stakeholder management across security, vendors, and technical teams.
- Experience operating within regulated environments, adhering to established policies and procedures.

- Professional security certifications such as CISM, CISSP, Security+, CRISC or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
