About the Role

Join Moco Museum London as a Junior Duty Manager to supervise floor activities, ensure a seamless visitor experience, and maintain Moco's high standards. You will assist visitors, monitor Floor Crew performance, and support overall museum operations, taking an active leadership role in guiding and motivating the team.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a high level of customer service and visitor satisfaction by monitoring operations, including ticketing, information desks, and visitor services.
  • Guide visitor flow and address any issues or concerns to enhance the visitor experience.
  • Oversee the implementation of visitor engagement initiatives and special events to promote interaction with exhibits and programs.
  • Act as a trained guided tour guide when necessary.
  • Supervise crew members to ensure smooth operation and adherence to museum policies and procedures.
  • Ensure optimal team allocation to defined positions for efficiency in serving visitors.
  • Provide feedback to the crew and address performance issues in collaboration with Operations Managers.
  • Share input about the crew to assist Operations Managers in preparing bi-annual performance appraisals.
  • Attend meetings selected by Operations Managers to expand experience.
  • Coordinate opening and closing procedures.
  • Coordinate Crew members.
  • Seek advice from Operations Managers when needed and report any issues.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for visitors and staff.
  • Monitor indoor and outdoor premises cleaning, ensure follow-up, and report on cleanliness.
  • Collect feedback from the Crew.
  • Act as a key point of contact during emergency situations, such as evacuations, medical emergencies, or security incidents.
  • Implement emergency response procedures and coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure safety and security.
  • Organize safety protocol training.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in operations, process management, service management, or a related role, ideally within a startup or early-stage business.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of art and design is a plus but not a must.
  • Degree-level education (preferably Business Administration).
