About the Role
Cancer Research UK is seeking a Senior Training and Quality Coordinator to join their fundraising team. This role is crucial for supporting the Engage Strategy by ensuring fundraisers have the necessary training and compliance monitoring to maximize fundraising income for life-saving research. The position offers a dynamic mix of desk-based and field activities, providing a unique opportunity to impact campaign quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver day-to-day training, engagement, and quality monitoring programs for Face-to-Face Fundraisers.
- Present training sessions across the UK and virtually, explaining CRUK's work, research, and compliant behaviors.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to plan and execute training activities, field visits, and engagement initiatives.
- Design, develop, and enhance training, engagement, and support materials, including presentations, videos, and recognition programs.
- Support integrated fundraising campaigns and contribute to the Training, Quality Monitoring, and Engagement Strategy.
- Monitor fundraising standards and compliance through observations, mystery shopping, call sampling, and field assessments, providing coaching.
- Manage and resolve complaints related to face-to-face fundraising, identifying themes for future practice improvements.
- Analyze compliance, training, and mystery shopping data to identify trends, generate insights, and recommend performance enhancements.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and compliance programs, sharing recommendations and best practices with stakeholders.
Requirements
- Background in training, compliance, or fundraising (or a customer-facing sales role).
- Strong training, facilitation, and presentation skills for individuals and groups.
- Ability to coach face-to-face fundraisers in the field.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple changing priorities.
- Resilient, flexible, and comfortable with uncertainty and changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in communicating with diverse audiences.
- Proactive and inspiring communicator, capable of being an excellent ambassador for the charity.
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.
- Able to travel across the UK (at least 2 days per week).
- Knowledge and understanding of charity fundraising best practices & legislation (desirable).
- Experience working in regulated industries is welcome.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
