About the Role
The IT Asset Management Analyst is responsible for supporting the full lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring hardware, software, and consumables are properly licensed, approved, and optimized. This role ensures accurate record-keeping, supports audits, and drives cost efficiency through vendor management.
Responsibilities
- Process procurement requests for hardware, software, and consumables, including vendor quotes, purchase requisitions, and Oracle receiving.
- Educate end users on IT procurement processes and provide guidance on product selection.
- Interface with Accounts Payable and Procurement teams to manage purchase orders and invoices.
- Enter and maintain asset records in the Asset Management tool, including software license keys.
- Perform periodic inventory reconciliations and coordinate asset disposal processes.
- Support compliance by maintaining entitlement information, conducting monthly audits, and preparing license true-ups.
- Monitor consumption-based activity to ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Collaborate with vendors on licensing, audits, and asset management services.
- Continuously improve processes through research, innovation, and cross-training initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance/Accounting, or Business (or equivalent experience).
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Basic understanding of software compliance, asset procurement, and financial processes.
- Analytical skills with the ability to reconcile large datasets and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Visio, Access, and CMDB preferred.
- Experience with ServiceNow Asset Management tool is a plus.
- Background in IT Operations or IT Finance with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-moving environment and work well in cross-functional teams.
- Customer-focused mindset with proactive problem-solving skills.
