About the Role

ZEISS is a global technology leader in optics and optoelectronics. In Japan, ZEISS has been operating since 1911, with approximately 400 employees across five locations, serving as a partner in semiconductor, automotive, mechanical engineering, biomedical research, and medical technology. We are also a leading manufacturer of eyeglass lenses, camera lenses, and binoculars. This role focuses on the sales and customer management of intraocular lenses and related equipment used in cataract surgeries at university hospitals, core hospitals, and ophthalmology clinics within your assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Promote sales of intraocular lenses and related equipment for cataract surgery.
  • Manage new and existing accounts in the assigned territory using CRM and other core internal systems.
  • Collaborate with and manage sales distributors, including contract negotiation, strategy development, goal management, and training.
  • Provide post-delivery follow-up, manage customer satisfaction, and build long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and next-generation doctors in the territory.
  • Prepare and submit documentation in compliance with internal and external regulations and rules.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in ophthalmology, with experience selling cataract surgery-related equipment.
  • Proven ability in consultative sales within the medical industry, managing the entire sales cycle from lead generation to delivery.
  • Strong communication and project management skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Native-level Japanese proficiency and business-level English communication skills.

Salary/Compensations

  • ¥5,500,000 - ¥9,000,000 per year (includes bonuses and various allowances, based on skills and experience)
  • Monthly salary: ¥400,000 - ¥600,000
