About the Role

Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality garden and grounds maintenance, including pruning and weed control.
- Plant and nurture flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the village’s beauty.
- Conduct regular garden inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
- Maintain irrigation systems for efficient water use.
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides safely to promote plant health.
- Ensure gardening tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold the overall appearance of the village.
- Engage with residents to understand their gardening preferences and incorporate feedback.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies and contribute to a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Experience in garden maintenance, particularly in retirement villages or aged care settings, is highly desirable.
- A valid NSW driver’s license.
- Horticulture training and/or experience is an advantage.
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
- Alignment with Anglicare’s values and mission.
- A genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
