About the Role

Join Anglicare's Gardening Team at Castle Hill, a welcoming and supportive community, and cultivate a rewarding career. This role involves creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for independent seniors, enhancing their environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality garden and grounds maintenance, including pruning and weed control.
• Plant and nurture flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the village’s beauty.
• Conduct regular garden inspections to identify and resolve any issues.
• Maintain irrigation systems for efficient water use.
• Apply fertilizers and pesticides safely to promote plant health.
• Ensure gardening tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to uphold the overall appearance of the village.
• Engage with residents to understand their gardening preferences and incorporate feedback.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Experience in garden maintenance, particularly in retirement villages or aged care settings, is highly desirable.
• A valid NSW driver’s license.
• Horticulture training and/or experience is an advantage.
• A strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive attitude.
• Alignment with Anglicare’s values and mission.
• A genuine passion for supporting the elderly.
