About the Role

Cancer Research UK is seeking a Senior Training and Quality Coordinator to join their fundraising team. This role is crucial for supporting the development, implementation, and quality monitoring of face-to-face fundraising campaigns, ultimately contributing to the charity's income and awareness for life-saving research. The position offers a dynamic mix of desk-based work and field activities, providing a varied and impactful experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver day-to-day training, engagement, and quality monitoring programs for Face-to-Face Fundraisers.
  • Deliver training presentations across the UK and virtually, explaining CRUK's work, research, and compliant behaviors.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to plan and deliver training activities, field visits, and fundraiser engagement initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and improve training, engagement, and support materials.
  • Support integrated fundraising campaigns and contribute to the Training, Quality Monitoring, and Engagement Strategy.
  • Monitor fundraising standards and compliance through observations, mystery shopping, call sampling, and field assessments, providing coaching and feedback.
  • Manage and resolve complaints related to face-to-face fundraising, identifying themes for future practice.
  • Analyze compliance, training, and mystery shopping data to identify trends, produce insights, and recommend improvements.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and compliance programs, sharing recommendations and best practices.

Requirements

  • Background in training, compliance, or fundraising (or a customer-facing sales role).
  • Strong training, facilitation, and presentation skills for individuals and groups.
  • Ability to coach face-to-face fundraisers in the field.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple changing priorities and tasks.
  • Resilient, flexible, and comfortable with uncertainty and changing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience in communicating with diverse audiences.
  • Proactive and inspiring communicator, able to be an excellent ambassador for the charity.
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to influence, motivate, and negotiate with suppliers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word.
  • Able to travel across the UK (at least 2 days per week).
  • Knowledge and understanding of charity fundraising best practices & legislation (desirable).
  • Experience working in regulated industries is welcome.
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
