About the Role
As a Software Engineer on the Clumio backend team, you will implement and deliver features and components within the data protection platform. This role focuses on writing reliable, maintainable, production-ready code as part of larger systems critical to customer-facing operations. You will take problems from implementation through to production, building features and workflows, writing tests, and helping operate and improve them once they ship. This role is built for growth, offering mentorship and opportunities to learn about large-scale, cloud-native data protection systems.
Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver features and components within the data protection platform.

- Grow ownership of specific components over time.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience through professional roles, internships, or academic and personal projects.
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis.
- Ability to apply computer science fundamentals to practical problems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Go, Java, Python, C++, Rust).
- Ability to break a problem down into a correct, maintainable solution.
- Instinct to ask clarifying questions when requirements are unclear.
- Willingness to learn how production systems are built, operated, and debugged.
- Working knowledge of English.
