About the Role
We are looking for a Financial Services Compliance Manager to join us as we continue to grow and develop our suite of products in insurance, payments and consumer credit. To thrive in this role, you’ll be a natural relationship builder who acts as a trusted partner to our first line of defence, keeping a clear head and offering perspective when tricky compliance incidents crop up. You excel at communication clarity—translating complex regulatory jargon, FCA expectations, and financial crime rules into straightforward, actionable advice for stakeholders at all levels. Digging into the nitty-gritty of scripts, financial promotions, or process design is second nature to you, thanks to your sharp eye for detail. You also bring agility and pragmatism to the table, solving problems with a creative, proportionate mind to find the most appropriate business solutions for our Insurance, Consumer Credit, and Cashback Card products rather than just applying standard methods.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and advice as a trusted ‘second line of defence’ advisor to ensure policies, procedures, and processes align with business objectives and reflect FCA expectations, Financial Crime legislation, and other relevant regulations.
- Offer routine compliance support for matters including process design, scripts, financial promotions, complaint and case inquiries, and conduct issues.
- Support, oversee, and advise on incidents to ensure appropriate corrective and remediation actions are taken and controls are improved based on lessons learned and root causes.
- Support assessments of internal control effectiveness and oversee work to mitigate identified gaps or issues.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the FCA and other relevant third parties or regulatory bodies, including Suspicious Activity Reports.
- Support upward management or committee reporting on compliance matters, including breach or incident reporting.
- Act as a business partner to the first line of defence, providing support and education on compliance matters and serving as a point of contact for internal queries.
- Collaborate with Legal & Compliance colleagues to coordinate perspectives and manage conflicting positions.
- Develop and deliver training to promote awareness and understanding of compliance matters.
- Support change initiatives driven by internal business development or external regulatory changes.
- Scan the horizon for regulatory news and developments, sharing analysis to support business awareness, improvement, and preparedness.
Requirements
- Solid experience in a second line of defence compliance role in financial services.
- Essential experience working with general insurance products.

- Proven track record of spotting compliance-related risks and opportunities, and finding proportionate responses in a changing environment.

- Exposure to other consumer financial services products (like Consumer Credit or Cashback Card) is highly desirable.
- Financial crime knowledge and experience is a massive plus.
- Background check required upon job offer.
