About the Role

The Aircraft Engineer (ACA – M2) is responsible for ensuring all aircraft maintenance complies with the Maintenance Control Manual, Maintenance Policy Manual, Detailed Procedures Documents, and Canadian Aviation Regulations. This role also involves ensuring all aircraft technical documents are adhered to.

Responsibilities

• Ensure maintenance activities comply with MCM, MPM, DPDs, aircraft and component maintenance manuals, and Transport Canada requirements.
• Maintain a valid M2 AME license and ACA qualifications for company aircraft.
• Acquire and maintain Airport Security Clearance, AVOP, Passport, and a full ‘G’ Driver’s License.
• Mentor new Apprentices.
• Liaise with the Lead and MOC regarding scheduled overnight work packages.
• Ensure all Porter technical documentation associated with defects or Work Packs is completed to company standards before submission to Technical Records.
• Assist with ground support equipment (GSE) maintenance and generate repair logs.
• Maintain consumable materials and tooling in the hangar and service vehicles in a neat and tidy manner.
• Support AOG maintenance system-wide as required.
• Assist the Lead in maintaining clean hangar work areas, offices, service vehicles, and equipment for a safe work environment.
• Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents, and promoting the Company Safety Policy.
• Utilize the SMS reporting program for any hazards or incidents.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid M2 AME license.
• Must hold a valid passport.
• Ability to obtain airside clearance (RAIC) with associated background checks.
• Ability to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operator Permit).
• Demonstrate working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR’s).
• Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to delegate effectively.
• Possess excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both spoken and written.

Skills

• Dash-8 400 experience
• RAAS, AMOS or other maintenance software platform knowledge
