About the Role

This role offers an opportunity to apply engineering principles in practice, from data collection to report preparation. Your involvement will grow with your experience, allowing you to take on more responsibility. You will be shaping communities by working on diverse Civil/Site projects, including warehousing complexes, sports arenas, and residential/commercial developments.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and create estimates.
• Develop drawings by modifying or replicating prior projects, applying changes from redlined drawings, or creating drawings from sketches.
• Ensure designs comply with company and client production and design standards.
• Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, and outcomes.
• Interpret and understand drawings from multiple disciplines and respond to related requests for information.
• Conduct field inspections and surveys, investigate variables, obtain measurements, photographs, videos, and take notes; write reports documenting findings.
• Research and apply code provisions to design.
• Work with senior engineers to create project designs.
• Utilize Autocad Civil 3D on a daily basis.
• Research design options and document findings for the project manager.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, making adaptations and modifications to existing designs.
• Assist Project Engineers and leaders in design creation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 2-4+ years of related experience.
• Engineer in Training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience preferred but not required.
• Strong CAD skills, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job-related communications.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Land Development project experience is a plus.
