About the Role
As a Software Engineer focused on automation, you will help ensure a very high engineering quality bar for Clumio’s best-in-class SaaS platform for data protection in the public cloud. You will work closely with Development, Product Management, and Customer Success teams, and grow your skills alongside experienced engineers. This is a great opportunity for a new college graduate or early-career engineer who is passionate about learning Python-based automation, and who wants to learn about modern SaaS platforms and their deployments in clouds like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Responsibilities
- Work with a highly motivated team of engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Design and build test automation frameworks and tools.
- Set up infrastructure (storage, compute, networking) to run automated tests.
- Design and implement automated tests, including end-to-end integration tests and load/stress tests.
- Help drive adoption of best practices in testing and product quality.
- Deliver under tight deadlines using agile methodology.
- Participate in requirement reviews and collaborate with Customer Success teams to help resolve customer escalations.
- Collaborate through design discussions and code reviews, and work with senior and principal engineers to align your work with the broader technical direction.
Requirements
- New college graduate, or 1+ year of industry experience in software development or test automation.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid programming fundamentals in an OOP language such as Python or Go.
- A highly motivated self-starter with a builder’s mindset and a passion for quality.
- Working knowledge of English.
