About the Role
The Civil Foreman/Tunnel Foreman will be responsible for overseeing and managing all civil and tunnelling construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a team of workers, ensuring efficient and effective task execution.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers for plan execution.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks.
- Verify that all construction activities meet required quality standards.
- Optimize the utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff.
- Report on project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.
- Monitor project expenses to stay within budget.
- Address and resolve issues arising during construction.
Requirements
- Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Supervision.
- Proven track record in a Civil Foreman or Tunnel Foreman role with successful project completions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
