About the Role
Lead Software Engineer to own the technical architecture across the entire platform, including patient app, clinician portal, internal tooling, iOS and Android apps, and the backend API. This hands-on role involves building, making technical and product decisions, and leading ambitious projects, including bringing core clinical infrastructure in-house.
Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture and direction across the stack for new projects and day-to-day product work.
- Lead major projects end-to-end, from architecture through to shipped product.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into product decisions and shipped software.
- Maintain production reliability through monitoring, debugging, and incident response.
- Mentor engineers and improve team building standards.
Requirements
- Startup experience, including shipping products at an early-stage company.
- Comfort with ambiguous requirements and changing priorities.
- Proven experience as a hands-on lead owning production systems end-to-end.
- Proficiency across the full stack: frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure.
- Strong product judgment to make effective product decisions.
- A reliability mindset, with a focus on fixing issues and ensuring a seamless patient experience.
- Based in Sydney and willing to work in the office regularly.
