About the Role

Manage and operate a multi-purpose sports, culture, and community venue in Berlin, serving as a hub for athletic activities and events. Oversee daily operations, ensure seamless event execution, and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate across teams to connect all stakeholders.
  • Act as a true leader to ensure a high-performing, service-oriented team culture.
  • Manage external service providers (e.g., security, technical services, cleaning).
  • Ensure all venue expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs.
  • Optimize venue and work processes proactively.
  • Maintain the appearance of the location and compliance with hygiene rules.
  • Ensure the functionality and condition of the entire facility.
  • Handle administrative and organizational duties of daily business (e.g., accounting, invoice checking, inventory system, creating reports).
  • Obtain offers with clients and suppliers.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external maintenance, repairs, and technical services.
  • Oversee staff scheduling and recruitment of new team members.
  • Drive highest venue standards and assigned projects independently.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for event organizers, providing support and guidance.
  • Ensure all event specifications are met, including technical, catering, and logistical requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, vendors, neighbors, and city authorities.
  • Enhance venue and client reception in the city.
  • Empower yourself to live out your passion for sports, lifestyle, and venue management.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of previous professional experience in managing event location(s) or a venue like a gym or (yoga) studio.
  • Former experience and practical knowledge of state-of-the-art regarding running a venue, gym, or studio.
  • Fluent English and German language skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and a passion for providing high-standard service.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong willingness to learn and a natural curiosity for trends.
  • Passion for events, sports, culture, lifestyle, and sustainability.
  • Driven to create real change in people's lives.
  • Enjoy working proactively and goal-oriented.
  • Hands-on mentality, not fearing to tackle all kinds of tasks.
