About the Role
Seeking a Sales Manager to drive the expansion of innovative charging infrastructure solutions. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, developing long-term customer relationships, and advising clients on customized charging infrastructure solutions from initial contact to contract closure.
Responsibilities
- Acquire new customers for charging infrastructure solutions and further develop existing customer relationships.
- Build long-term partnerships with customers, understanding their technical, operational, and economic requirements.
- Analyze customer needs and develop customized charging infrastructure project solutions with internal and external specialists.
- Guide customers from initial contact through needs assessment, concept development, contract closure, and handover to the project team.
- Act as a trusted advisor, supporting customers in strategic decisions regarding electromobility, infrastructure development, and depot concepts.
- Coordinate the creation of proposals, economic feasibility studies, and technical solution concepts.
- Develop and implement sales strategies for the assigned region and identify new potentials with existing and new customers.
- Conduct contract and price negotiations to successful closure.
- Represent Daimler Buses Solutions at customer appointments, events, and trade fairs.
- Identify suitable funding programs and support customers in applying for and implementing relevant funding measures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, business development, key account management, or customer support for complex products/services.
- Completed business administration or technical degree, or alternatively a commercial and/or technical apprenticeship.
- Experience in selling capital goods, technical system solutions, infrastructure projects, or consulting-intensive services.
- Ideally, experience with tenders and proposal processes.
- Previous exposure to electromobility, charging infrastructure, energy supply, construction projects, or technical infrastructure.
- Proven success in new customer acquisition and developing long-term customer relationships.
- Ability to bring together various internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicative and sales-oriented personality with a passion for approaching people, building customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities.
- Confident demeanor, persuasive communication across different levels, and ability to win over both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Negotiation skills, closing strength, and entrepreneurial thinking.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly for customer appointments within the region (approx. 2 days/week) and nationwide as needed.
- Very good German and English language skills.
- High degree of initiative, teamwork, and flexibility.
