About the Role
As a Sofa Host at Sofa Club, you will bring the brand to life on the showroom floor, creating an inspiring and memorable customer journey. This role focuses on delivering both performance and experience, making sofa shopping effortless and enjoyable by styling, storytelling, and curating a unique experience. You will help set the showroom's tone, support activations, and engage with the community, embodying values of challenging retail norms, teamwork, ownership, and simplicity.
Responsibilities
- Create a warm, confident welcome to set the tone for a standout showroom experience.
- Lead personalized, consultative conversations to make sofa shopping effortless and enjoyable.
- Bring the Sofa Club brand to life by helping customers express their style and elevate their homes.
- Build genuine connections by understanding each customer’s lifestyle, aesthetic, and desired space feel.
- Confidently guide customers through styles, fabrics, and configurations, curating relevant, design-led options.
- Create confidence at every step, ensuring customers feel supported, excited, and certain in their decisions.
- Take ownership of the customer journey from first interaction through to order completion.
- Handle customer queries and challenges with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-focused mindset.
- Use product and styling knowledge to recommend tailored, effortless, on-brand solutions.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture focused on shared success and accountability.
- Deliver against individual and showroom sales targets to drive strong commercial performance.
- Recommend complementary products and protection options to enhance the customer’s home and experience.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all orders and customer interactions.
- Use omni-channel tools to create seamless customer journeys from quote to conversion.
- Embrace coaching, feedback, and continuous development to elevate performance.
- Manage customer interactions through Book a Call, Zendesk, and finance follow-ups.
- Share ideas, insights, and best practices with the team to continuously raise the bar.
- Maintain sofas and displays to the highest standards, ensuring every detail feels premium and style-led.
- Support visual merchandising to keep the showroom fresh, inspiring, and aligned with a fashion-first approach.
- Ensure all product information and pricing is accurate, clear, and up to date.
- Help create an environment that elevates the experience, from lighting and music to scent and atmosphere.
- Support day-to-day showroom operations and contribute to smooth running.
Requirements
- Experience in sales or retail.
- Ability to create memorable experiences.
