About the Role
As a Mechanical Service Technician, you will play a critical role in keeping high-performance material handling systems operating at peak efficiency. You will be part of a rapidly growing team using market-leading automation technology in a permanent, full-time role.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, install, and repair automated material handling systems to ensure high availability and safety
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and system faults to minimise downtime
- Respond to reactive service calls and proactively address issues during your shift
- Analyse system performance data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and performance records and prepare reports for stakeholders
- Support and mentor junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Collaborate closely with the Service team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes
Requirements
- Qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience working with automated or industrial systems in a maintenance or service environment
- A methodical, structured approach to troubleshooting and maintenance activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and stakeholders
- Willingness and flexibility to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts
